Medication That Does Not Cause Osteonecrosis Of The Jaw
I have osteopenia of more than 10 years duration. My MD would like me to take Fosamax. I have bad teeth--I receive regular dental care and floss and brush with prescription strength fluoride toothpaste like I'm supposed to, but I have numerous crowns/fillings, 4 implants, I've had several root canals and broken teeth. Anyone Taking Risedronate?
That is so interesting. I too have had periodontal work 5 years ago and have lost a couple of teeth in recent years! I definately will talk to dentist before taking any medication.
I Have Been Given An RX Of Alendronate 70 Mg Tab (generic For Fosamax)
This would be my first time taking this medicine (once a week tablet) along with Calcium Citrate (1200mg) and Vitamin D3 (1000mg). The latter to be taken daily. Is anyone in this group taking this RX. I have read the side effects, but am more interested in knowing about those who have experienced this medicine before I begin its course.

I got leg cramps from it. Switched to risendronate and so far so good
Has Anyone Struggled With Side Effects From Vitamin D3? I Am Having More Blood Tests Tomorrow To Test The Low Level I Had A Few Months Ago.
Diagnosed in 2018 but looking into further treatment other than Risedronate sodium.
Thank you. They tried me on Invita D3 but I was allergic to the glycerine in the meds. I bought the Vitabiotics instead.

The above treatment has been recommended once I get my Vitamin D levels up. I've been on Risedronate Sodium since 2018.

What Osteo Drug Do You Take? I Also Have Barrett’s Esophagus.
I have been taking Risendronate for approximately three years. My doctor recommended I start on Prolia, which is an injection every six months. I am waiting on insurance approval.
