Cracking On The Corners Of Your Mouth?

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭
Mukilteo, WA

Has anyone else experienced cracking on the corners of your mouth after taking AlgaeCal? If so, what did you do to get rid of it? I've never had this problem before, so I'm guessing it's a reaction to Algae Cal but I could be wrong. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem. Otherwise, I've not had any side effects and look forward to my next scan results. Thanks!

Try Monistat on cracks in the corner of your mouth and cracks around fingernails. Could be yeast.

Can One Have Anterior Wedging Of T-spine Without Fractions?

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭
Cocoa, FL

Pain in my T-spine has ramped up so I had an x-ray. Results says anterior wedging of T-7 and T-8 verbetral bodies. It doesn't say anything about a fraction. But, when I looked this up online. Everything I've found includes fractions with main cause osteoporosis.

Does this wedging always include fractions? Or not?

Back story, I also have severe degenerative disc disease from T-7 through T-11. As well as degenerative spondylosis.

A MyOsteoTeam Member

I think a wedge is a fracture, a good quick fix is Kyphoplasty?

Treatment..

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭
cheltenham gloucestershire

I was diagnosed in my late 30's then in my late 40's told the scans were wrong so treatment stopped. My last Dexa scan said osteoporosis in spine and osteopenia in hips. The only treatment I have been given is Vit D /calcium but I was already on this the dosage was just upped. Is this the only treatment I will be getting? I am just 50 and my monthlies stopped in my 30's.

Hip Fracture While On Treatment

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭
Austin, TX

I had been taking Forteo injections for two years and did have an increase in my T-score, especially the hip area. Then once off for a few months for some dental work before starting Prolia, I fell and broke my hip. Now I experience anxiety, experience thigh pain when I am up for an extended period of time.

Has anyone else ever had a fracture while on treatment?

A MyOsteoTeam Member

I am very sorry to learn of your hip fracture. Having broken both femurs, 4 years apart, I was referred to my Endroconogolist who put me on Prolia in 2007-2009. The only problem I am experiencing… read more
