I Will Be Having A Major Back Surgery This March, Fusing T10 To The Pelvis. Has Anyone Else In This Group Had A Surgery This Extensive?

The surgeon is planning a 2 stage approach - the first surgery is an anterior approach for L5-S1 ALIF to maximize the arthrodesis and a posterior column osteotomies from T10 down to the sacrum and pelvic supplemental fixation.
I would like to talk with any adult who has been through a similar surgery. I am 64 years old. Just had my hip replaced last November with a very good results.
I take daily injections of Tymlos for my osteoporosis.

Dr. asked if I wanted to go on Prolia. I was not sure. He said it does not make bones stronger. It just pauses the loss of bone while on Prolia. When you come off, your bones are the same as when you went on Prolia. Anyone have any ideas on what to go on??

Has Anyone Had A Manual Manipulation Of Their Frozen Shoulder. I Have Had Several Months Of Physical Therapy To No Avail.

I've had frozen shoulders. PT didn't help much. It took about a year for them to heal. The good news is I regained full range of motion in both shoulders. Wishing you a full recovery!
