What Is Safe Exercise For Someone With 7 Spinal Compression Fractures
My 7 spinal compression fractures have occurred over many years, starting when I was 52 years old. I am now 75, and have been fracture free for 2 1/2 years. I go for walks with and without poles, but my back still hurts a lot, but I push through it. Is this safe?
I am.sorry you are suffering. Back pain is so hard. I can't offer any information. Be cautious but keep moving.
How Safe Is Prolia?
I'm worried about jawbone damage and heartburn. I had both with Fosamax. My doctor says Prolia is different but both are listed on the side effects.

No side effects from prolia injection.
I am 77 years old & suffer from osteoarthritis & mild COPD. I feel good when in bed. Lol.

Hi everyone. I would WELCOME all comments and suggestions. I e been diagnosed with osteopenia from osteoporosis [improved with fosamax] Had rt hip replacement in July 2022 and will need left done eventually. I have seen the ortho doc for surgery for hip and recently endo doc for direction for soft bones. I have been taking Risendronate for approximately three years. My doctor recommended I start on Prolia, which is an injection every six months. I am waiting on insurance approval.

I walk twice a day for 20 mins to keep muscle and bone strength - is this enough exercise?
