I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in 2012. I have a history of spinal fracture, that occurred during a run, and pelvic fracture that resulted from a bike crash. My only risk factor is a petite frame. I have been very active, athletic, my entire life and have no other health issues. My doctor has recommended Prolia. I'm wondering if this is the best drug for me as I see that it is indicated in prednisone related osteoporosis, which does not apply for me.
I am on Forteo for the past two weeks. Not sure if it is working or not. There is a strange type of joint pain that I guess is listed as a side-effect, which a pain reliever could help. Do your research and check with as many people as possible.

hello diane1, I do take prolia and for 5 yrs now, my bones have improved , does this help? and I really don't have any side effects from it. if you do take it, watch for side effects, it can happen to any meds. that you take
