After 5 years you are supposed to be tested to see it is not harming you. I was on it for 10 years and now do 1 year on and 1 year off. So far so good, no problems.

We do Mary as I’ve just come off it. It’s under a different name. It’s known as Denosumab. It’s been in England for some years.Its supposed to be such an amazing drug!!!!! Yet many many people on this great site have been really badly affected by it. It is shocking the health problems people have been left with. Yet their some lucky ones who seem not to be affected by it. It’s a bit like Russian Roulette really. My hair started to fall out that was bad enough. I also had other problems too. If your thinking of going on it please do some research first. I think at times when you have Osteoporosis you panic and you hear of this super drug you think yes I will have that as your desperate. Then you take it and that’s it your never the same again. Please be careful and do your research first

I don’t think we have Prolia in the UK. I have never been offered it. Is it more effective do you think?

I believe 5 years are enough, then change to something else, eg Prolia
