I didnt really get anything out it, but that could just be because of the severity of my osteo. Its a daily injection from a pen. I dont like sticking myself with needles, but the pin is very small, didnt notice it all.

I have been taking injection for almost 2 years now and my scan showed good improvement. Spine went up by 24 % and right hip is now at osteopenia, improved also. Very easy to do and not painful. Had no side effects as Darrin said like pen. Hope this helps

For the most part no side effects from forteo. Only thing is muscle spasms through my lower back that literally cause me to stop and stretch muscles. Still recovering from breaking my femur in 3 places and right hip in January. Now using cane again feel like I'm going backwards!

ive been taking Forteo since Aug. My bone scan showed my spin is inproving. but my hip is worse. Can anyone relate?

I was also on forteo for almost the whole 2 years. I know how it feels to be in pain all the time, you are not alone. That's awesome that you got at least some good news from your scan. That's a building block, I hope that it continues in the right direction.
