Members shared mixed experiences with stopping Prolia after multiple injections, with many expressing deep concern about rebound fractures but also frustration over side effects like jaw pain, hip pain, and panic attacks related to dental work restrictions. Several members described transitioning to other medications such as Fosamax, Reclast, or Zoledronic acid infusions after discontinuing Prolia, while others chose to stop all pharmaceutical osteoporosis treatments entirely in favor of supplements like fish oil, collagen, vitamin D3, K2, calcium, and lifestyle changes including exercise and dietary adjustments. A recurring theme was the difficult balance between fear of worsening bone health and distrust of conflicting medical advice, with members emphasizing the importance of self-advocacy, prayer, and trusting one's own body while navigating these deeply personal and often scary treatment decisions.

It is now nearly a year since last prolia injection, I’m doing fine. I’m on arctic fish oil, collagen, D3, K2. I have an active life. So happy to be off pharmaceutical meds.

Thank you everyone for your input. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis last January. I have had two injections of Prolia and so far no issues. I have a medical in a few weeks, but I don't think I will have a bone density test as they only do it every 2 years. I'm curious if I have had any improvement. I exercise and take calcium supplements with vitamin K2 and just started doing collagen. Hope my bones improve. I am now afraid to go off Prolia because of the caution on a fracture if you stop. I'll keep you all posted .....

I had Prolia for two years and felt great on it. My endocrinologist stopped it because she said I shouldn’t stay on anything for too long. I am now doing Fosomax. There was no trick to going off of it. When the six month period was up instead of another shot I started Fosomax. Good luck
