Osteoporosis Reversed

Hello, I have had osteoporosis for many years, previous dexa showed -3-4 but on my last scan a few weeks ago I was told I am now in the osteopenic range as my scan showed a significant improvment. I am delighted with this news. I had premature ovarian failure 20 years ago and had steroids for Lupus so this has came as quite a welcome surprise for me and my family. Yes, Saoirse, it happened to me that I was osteopaenic and managed to reverse from there to normal by walking and line dancing. I blasted both of them. Unfortunately, I now have an arthritic knee which is very painful so my galloping is at a standstill, for now. I have moved back into osteopaena again again .

I've heard some people who have discovered they had hyperparathyroidism then had the surgery to remove the adenomas ended up reversing bone porosity. Blood tests required to determine if your parathyroid is too high: Calcium levels, parathyroid hormone levels, vitamin D levels, and Dexa scan. I'm have hyperparathyroidism and will go for a parathyroidectomy later this week. Hopefully it helps!
