Hello Kim, my name is Lesley, only use Karen as a user name. I am so happy that you are not too bad that makes me very happy to hear that. I did say to you that my lungs are better now after the steroids and they are only keeping an eye on me with doing lung function tests once a year because we don't know what caused it. It's just the ostropenia I am meds for now . I have to have a bone scan in about 2 years. Do not ever smoke agaun darling. I used to smoke as well but give up about 7 years ago. I cannot stand the smell of them now. Sending you a huge cuddle. Lesley. X

Hello Kim, nice to meet you in here. So sorry to hear about your copd. How are you going on now? Are you feeling better with your meds? I was in steroids with a condition called Alveolitis which is something I had been breathing in for some time that I am allergic to. I was really poorly with it but steroids got me better. The hospital are keeping an eye on me as we do not now what it is I am allergic to. I have been diagnosed with ostropenia and on meds for that now but got told I should of been on meds for my bones while taking the steroids to protect my bones bit they did not give me . That is why I was asking if steroids caused my ostropenia. Thank you for replying and hope to talk again. Take care Lesley. X

Hi Karen, my COPD is actually self inflicted as I was a smoker from 16, I only stopped a year ago, when really I should never have started, my doctor said its smoking related too. I do feel better with my new inhaler at least. My working life for the past 15 years I have worked as an industrial cleaner and pub cleaner and the doctor said that all spray cleaners should really be used with a mask,as inhaling chemicals can also cause lung damage. But my health problems are minor really to what other people suffer so I cant complain. I was diagnosed with it not long after stopping smoking so I'm pretty new to it yet.. I live in Alfreton just 12 miles outside Derbyshire. Thank you so much Karen for your kind words of encouragement, it means a lot. Hope today finds you as painfree as possible, take care, hope to talk again real soon. Hugs sent to you. 🤗🌻🌷🌼

Yes DebbieH, breathing is one of our life saving functions, and it's the worse feeling gasping for a breath, so I agree with you on that 1 we need to breath so a steroid based inhaler is a small price to pay I suppose. Take care 😊🌻
