Why Do Some Doctors(primary Care) Say Otheoporsis Does Not Cause Pain?
You are so right Vadavis! Actually doctors don't know everything. My spine T-score improved and my endocrinologist told me it was because I now had arthritis in my spine. Well I keep all my records and I looked several of my records up and I had arthritis in my spine for years. My endocrinologist told me this in February of this year. I am taking supplements etc. I am getting a dexa scan next month and I hope all my T-scores improved or stayed the same.
As we all know Prolia suppose to strength bones. It seems doctors do not know how to treat osteo due to no training available, yes there is pain even when you have not experienced a fall. Unless a doctor has oesto they do not understand.
My primary care just gave me a script for meds. Nothing about exercise or eating or any other information. I was just appalled by this as she has always been full of information about other aliments.
She did send me to a doctor who was a "specialist" in osteo. All he had done was some seminars and read research. He told me there is no training or classes that he could have taken.
I just think they don't know so they just push meds. I feel the medical community has let those with osteo down.
Usually because the osteo itself doesn't cause the pain, its the fractures that are a result of osteo that causes pain. Remember that fractures can be super incredibly small, you won't usually see them on an xray, even a ct scan may not pick them up.
Yes, prolia. The "specialist" was also insistent that I also get on a med. It was called Tylmos. Of course both have no studies on long term effects.
