Evenity

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭
Walkerton, IN

Has anyone tried or is trying Evenity? I've been on Prolia for 2 1/2 years, and bones still got worse. Reading about this Evenity, I'm scared to death on taking it. Only 1 hospital out of all in my area will even give it, and to see in clinical trials women died of heart attacks and / or strokes, and the FDA at first would not even approve it..... I think I would fare better with more fractures. Sounds like it's scary stuff

Hi BCroymans. I had one jab of Prolia and a month later I had more back fractures. I then met the Rheumatologist who told me Prolia wasn’t for me and put me on yearly infusions of Aclasta! Great result ribs and wrist only minor cracks and now none. Had the 2nd infusion recently with minor shivers for first day or so. What suits one doesn’t necessarily fit all. I now question everything and try to be part of my solution. Hugs xx

Thank you everyone! My bones are of a 97 year old so the doctors tell me. Was diagnosed with Osteoporosis at 30, I'm 50 now. My doctor really wants me on that Evenity, but when I read about it.... Just awful the poison we put in our bodies to help salvage them. Sally, I am going to ask about that instead. Thank you so very much everyone!

I call my infusions ‘rat poison’ I think it is a coping mechanism, but l also have a warped sense of humour 🤪. What ever I call it, it seems to be working and I have a life (that I thought was gone forever) back and can enjoy my family and friends. I practice gratitude every day. 😊
