Prolia DISASTER
I'd been on Prolia a few years. Wasn't getting better but at least not getting worse
Then doctor retired and new doctor couldn't see me right away
I said I was supposed to get this shot every six months but they said I had to wait for the new doctor.
WEEKS after she told me this, THREE VERTEBRAE FRACTURED!
I have been in pain every single day ever since!
I got the shot however, and now I still have to be on Prolia!
Here is what I have as a result, IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE FRACTURES… read more
Thank you so much for the warning. I was told Prolia was my only option because I have a problem with my esophagus. I felt like I had to decide quickly but the more time I spend on this site the more I am convinced I did the right thing by not making a hasty decision. I am so sorry for what you are going through- you have to stay on something you no longer want and it is damaging to you in so many ways. Bless you for sharing with us and letting us know your experience. You are helping more than you realize!! Hugs.
Im supposed to be able to access and view my scans and x-rays thru my online access. Im finding it very odd that everything relating to osteoperosis is not available.
The more research i do, the less willing i am to even try any meds. Ive started a few vitamins and that’s what Im going to stick with. Im just not willing to be the FDA’s guinea pig or statistic.
I'm sorry for your awful reaction but may have saved your life --or at least your mobility and eyesight! (Prolia threatens both for me!) I wish you all the best!
I had horrible allergic reaction to first and ONLY prolia shot. The doctor didn’t even mark it down in my records any of the reactions. It’s been several weeks and some are still hanging on. Fortunately, my primary care doctor Updated my files to reflect NO MORE PROLIA! I am so sorry to hear that you are going through so much more than what these doctors say are the side affects. They forget it’s our life and body.
My heart goes out to you! I can live with being several inches shorter and even with looking like an 85 year old "Miracle Mom" about to give birth to quintuplets from the sudden dramatic decrease in height! Constant PAIN from my "Proliafrax" (Prolia fractures) is another story. For me there are actually two issues: the first from when my doctors carelessly stopped the Prolia (the fractures) and second the problems caused by Prolia itself, the most serious of these (for me at least) is being threatened with blindness from macular degeneration of the retina associated with this drug (according to my retinal specialist!) Bad enough this drug has made me lame! Now it's trying to make me blind as well!
How Can I Get Off Prolia SAFELY?
