Reclast Treatment
I was referred for a Reclast treatment last year due to my Osteoporosis and will get another one this Spring. Has anyone gotten this and what if any side effects have you experienced?
I had my first Reclast in September this year. The first week I had flu like symptoms but over all so far so good.
Good morning, yes my mom feels better with Reclast , she’s 93 and getting them for at least 5 years . Wished she’d done it sooner. It took a few weeks for me to feel able to be active but since then I have been absolutely ok! I’m due for another one and although I dread the immediate recovery, I’m hoping there’s some bone density stability in my test results! Hope this helps
I had mild symptoms at first and then within a week I had severe joint pain and swollen knees. Places where I had old injuries were the worst. It subsided after a few weeks but it was scary. My mom who is 93 has had them for years with no side effects! I plan to discuss these concerns and review my labs before my next treatment. There are twice a year shots but my insurance does not cover that (yet). Thanks for replying.
PS I take calcium, D3, twice daily as well.
Thanks Alicia! I don't know of anyone that's had the infusion so it's good to hear that it's working for you and your Mom.
Mother I meant...not grandmother. Did her bone scans improve?
Had 2 Big Tooth Extractions Before Zoledronate Treatment. Now Dry Socket Due To Severe Osteoporosis.
