Members connected over the shared experience of aching ribs, with several describing pain caused by inflamed discs in the thoracic spine that radiates along the rib cage, sometimes accompanied by burning sensations across the arms and chest. Several members mentioned that doctors initially dismissed their pain or suggested surgery wasn't an option because accessing the affected discs would require breaking ribs, leading many to manage symptoms with ablation procedures, pain medication, or simply enduring the discomfort. A recurring theme was the frustration and resignation of aging with chronic pain, balanced by warm exchanges of support, well wishes, and updates on everyday life that reminded members they're not facing these challenges alone.

For years, I have an inflamed disc at 8,9 and 10. Starts in the back and goes along the lower rib cage on the left side. I had an ablation done, but now it is above that. Can't win. I also have burning sensation, it is the pits getting old.

Hello Colleen, many months have passed since this connection, I trust that things have settled down for you.
I have had cellulitis which lasted 5 weeks where I had to stay indoors. It is now cleared so I am able to join in the activities of the village again.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, there is to be a quiz held between the 4 villages so this will enable us to share time, laughter and fellowship together.
Hugs, cheers and Love Joan xxx

Hello dear Colleen, I do feel for you all up there.
We haven't had a decent rain for weeks.
Last Saturday my eldest daughter took me out to stay with them on their country farm.
The main reason being that they are breeding chickens, DORCAS. They are an older breed and reasonable layers. There are 15 eggs in the incubator, they should be ready to hatch at the weekend. They have chosen them because they can interbreed with out having to purchase new batches as is the case with the Brown ones. One of my grandson's has the brown ones, sells them at the country markets and can't keep up with all requests, and has the problem of having to keep getting new stock.
On our way here yesterday we called in at More Mobility and checked out walkers. I have had one for around 8 years, which I used this morning and realised how the new style will help me stand straighter. So I have emailed and order and will contact another daughter to collect it next time she is in town.
Cheers, Hugs and Blessings Joan xxx

Heko dear Colleen, I am glad that there appears to be some progress for your sore ribs. I trust that you have been able to get outside when ever there is a break in that horrible spell of wet that you are having.
Did you watch the tennis?
Hugs, Blessings and Love Joan xxx
