Do You Have To Take Unsafe "bone-building" Drugs To Stop Osteoporosis From Getting Worse?
I have had osteopenia for a few years, but for about a year now, I have to take hydrocortisone daily for adrenal insufficiency. My last dexa scan 2 months ago shows I now have osteoporosis. I take 5000 units of D3, k2, boron, and magnesium daily. I dont have a rheumatologist anymore because I fired her about a year or so ago. She wasn't helping at all. What else can I do?
I think you need to find a new rheumatologist that you feel comfortable with and discuss your issues and see what he/she recommends. Fortunately I am happy that I am not in your position. I have arthritis and I only worry about getting enough vitamin D3.
Diet, exercise, and a positive attitude goes a long way. Stay on what you are taking. Blessings upon your journey 🤗
I've read cited research that reports bone-mass increase without drugs.
@A MyOsteoTeam Member hello to you from Maroochydore on the Pacific Ocean East Coast of Queensland in Subtropical Australia and I am interested in your steps today to find a suitable rheumatologist provider and I thought perhaps you could initially see a bone specialist and your general practitioner doctor would have access to a list in your area. Your other medical needs are his priority too and he is the one to guide you in my opinion. Good wishes for your research
