Weighted Vest
Would like to connect with anyone who has used a weighted vest. Thanks
With osteopenia, I wouldn't be too concerned, but I would caution anyone with osteoporosis of the spine about wearing a weighted vest and bending over and back up again. Especially if you are bending over to pick up a bag of potatoes or a pet, or a grandchild. Compression fractures happen a little at a time, and you don't know when it will finally be enough to break. I have heard they are very painful for long periods of time and the doctors can't always fix them, so they don't continue to hurt.
I wear a Hyper Vest Elite, which seems to support correct posture. https://melioguide.com/osteoporosis-exercise-eq...
I am very curious about what good a weighted vest would do. It seems like it would be like carrying a a small sack of potatoes around and maybe cause you to bend over more and not stay with upright posture. It seems like it would be bad for anyone with osteoporosis of the spine because it would be more weight on the spine and maybe help cause compression fractures. Could you explain the idea of what help this would be to someone with osteoporosis please?
Has Anyone Seen Improvement After Wearing A Weighted Vest Or Belt?
