How Does Prolia Work In The System?

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭
New Orleans, LA

I didn’t think of this question when at the docs office but how does Prolia work in the system every 6 months. I know it promotes bone growth but why only every 6 months? Also the doctor told me it will not help with the pain but I wonder if bones get stronger and perhaps energy increases if indirectly pain will possibly decrease over time and with the right supplements continued.

I've been on prolia for the past six years and yes, there is bone growth. I had been on most of the oral meds and saw no improvement until I started prolia. I've been fortunate, and have had absolutely no side effects from this drug.

Prolia works by blocking a protein called RANK and helps prevent cells called osteoclasts from breaking bone down in the body
