Does Anyone In The Group Have Lupus Or/and Anti Phospholipid Syndrome?
I have both and have recently found out that lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus or SLE) can cause osteoporosis. My rheumatologist has never told me that, I found it out on Google. Lupus can cause many horrible side effects and I get a lot of them, but osteoporosis was never mentioned. 🙁
No one ever told me that I would end up looking nine months pregnant with triplets either due to kyphosis of the spine. I'm having to buy new clothes as all my old ones are too tight

It's not good is it, they should tell us. Next time I see my rheumatologist I'm going to ask why they don't tell you especially as they're supposed to.
But then it wouldn't surprise me if they don't know about it themselves. There's a chronic shortage of them in the UK, according to the NHS we have under 700 qualified rheumatologists, hardly any trainees and a population of almost 68 million people with an estimated 3 million people
who have osteoporosis.
