hello Helen, I'm taking Gabapentin for epileptic seizures but it might be helping with my arthritis pain also, I don't know for sure but I do know that it is prescribed for pain also. I just Googled it and this is what I found. "Gabapentin is a medication used to treat neuropathic pain and epilepsy. It works by blocking pain messages from reaching the brain and by stopping seizures " Hope this is a help for you. Hugs Lea.

Iam also taking Gabapentin I don't notice any difference in my pain. I'm also on Co-Codamols . So that might be why but they are supposed to calm your nerves endings and muscles around the injured area.

I have taken Gabapentin, but not for that reason. I know others that have taken it for pain and they say it works. I have not heard of any bad side effects. Have you been taking it long? I don't know if this helped you, but good luck!
