I had a compression fracture at T11 that pinched a nerve radiating around to under my breast. I had a kyphoplasty procedure that relieved almost all pain from that fracture. I still have twinges in back but no pain around side. For me it was a game changer.

thank you for your answer.
wow, you really have had a lot of fractures. I had 2 others on my t7 and t8 before the latest one on my t11. the others never bothered me but for some reason this newest one is a killer. 7 months and still no relief from the nerve pain. I also did PT and it helped somewhat but nothing major. my core is really strong also. I pray you have continued success.

I have many compression fractures in my spine: T9 is very severe, T12, L1, L2, with L3 and 4 slightly. I had quite a bit of pain radiating to my front, and sometimes down my leg. I was/am on Gabapentin for nerve issue in my neck for many years, and I assume it helped a bit. What really helped me was Physio with a wonderful therapist who worked with me a lot. I even got taller by an inch! She gave me good stretches to do, and walking techniques. It has helped me so much. The only time the pain returns is if I walk too long. Iā€™m okay if I use walking poles for support for my walks. I used to use a cane all of the time, but my core strength is so much better, that I rarely use it for short distances. I should also add that Iā€™m on Prolia injections twice a year now, for two and a half years. I wish you success.

you are so lucky. I was not a candidate for kyphoplasty because I have hardware in my back. I wanted it so bad but didn't work out. I have been living with the nerve pain that radiates under my right breast and side It is so painful and never lets up. I am so disgusted that the gabapentin doesn't help. I'm ready to try acupuncture. Its been 7 months and from what I understand it can take up to a year. Yikes!!!
