Hello Mary. I am in my 8th year of Prolia injections. Thank goodness I have not had any more fractures. I started out on daily injections at home with Forteo for 2 years then another year of IV Reclast. In 2025, I will have a break from Prolia and have at least a year of IV Reclast as my endocrinologist informed me that I will lose bone. I am not a candidate for Evenity, which is very effective and does rebuild bone. Then I will resume the Prolia. I am told that you can receive 10 years of Prolia and studies confirm that. My MD is also a researcher for OP and other endocrine disorders. Be sure you plan ahead to discontinue and take another medication. Good luck.
