Thanku sondra... You mimic my reactions to pharmaceuticals. Even Dr despair of me.. Since 5th break t12 my pain is constant... Stabbing ribcage upper back etc. Bone health want me to try zoledronate acid but. Due to teeth settling must try ralixifine with the thinking if I don't get on with it can't just stop. I thank you from bottom of my heart for taking time to tell your story. I wish you luck and please keep in touch.
I pray you find relief x

Oh I totally understand and am happy to tell you my experience.
For me Raloxifene is causing bad indigestion, weight gain, joint and muscle soreness and hair loss.

Here is my background story:
2018 I was administered Prolia (this was before I knew better and started doing research) I was experiencing weird symptoms but continued to have shots. Had 3 altogether. My side affects were constant infections(ear, throat and UTI) and severe hair loss. The Prolia triggered my immune system and I ended up with lichen planopilarius. This is a scarring alopecia.
To avoid rebound fractures I was given Fosamax.
Took the fosamax for 8 months. Had terrible stomach issues, severe lightheadedness. I had to stop the drug.
2 years later I had fractured my L5 and 5 fractures to my pelvis
I was put on Forteo. Each shot caused chest pain. Was cleared by cardiologist. Within 4 months I was extremely sick. Exhausted, nausea, felt like I was run over.
The Forteo caused hypercalemia. I was seriously ill. Thankfully my symptoms improved soon after stopping the Forteo.
I’m left with the raloxifene, which is also causing terrible symptoms.
I’m over it.
This is just my story, many people find success with these drugs, but I cannot take them.
Maybe it’s my immune system or some other genetic issue.
Not sure what I will do at this point and in the future.

I wish you the best on this difficult journey.

I've tried alendronate which I badly reacted to. Waiting for zoledronate but two extractions caused infections. Hence trying ralixifine.... Like you I'm sensitive to all meds but severe osteoporosis 5 breaks in spine has given me little option but to try.
Did you mean ralixifine is OK but have given side effects.... If so what were they? I'm sorry to question but feeling desperate.
Thanku for taking time to reply

Hello Helen6, I have been taking raloxifene since April of this year. I have tried 4 different osteoporosis drugs. Unfortunately I have had serious reactions to them all.
I will likely stop this drug by the end of the year, after I meet with my endocrinologist. I can’t say if this drug has worked, as I am not scheduled for a dexa until later this month.
Have you tried other osteoporosis drugs before this?

Best,
Sondra
