Experience With Fosamax?

Hi, my mom (67) was diagnosed with Osteo one year ago but does not want to take any medication. Her doctor recommended Fosamax. What have been your experiences with it? Positive and negative.

Or with Actonel, Boniva, Reclast? Or something else?

I want to try to help her find a treatment to prevent her from having a fracture or further bone loss.

I was originally taking Prolia and then I moved over to Kaiser in 2022. and they gave me reclast. I had an allergic reaction to it.

Alendronate Or Alendronic Acid. This Is The One My Dr Prescribed. Do People Always Have Side Effects And Which Effects Are More Common?

I Have Been Taking Fosamax For 4 Years & My Lhip Is Worsening. What Kind Of Dr Should I See To Discuss A Different Treatment?

I have a large hietal hernia in my esophagus that my GI Dr worries is irriitated by the Fosamax.
I also have concern about Osteonecrosis from ongoing dental procedures. My PCP notes that the med
no longer seems effective and would like me to see a specialist for future osteosporosis treatment. What
kind of doctor would be most effective and appropriate for me to see. PCP mentioned endocrinologist but I
am thinking rheumatologist.
Your advice would be much appreciated.
