Reclast Side Affects
I have had two Infusions with Reclast, one year apart. Both times I have suffered nausea for 3-4 months. The second time I had them slow the drip down to taking 1 hour, still the same nausea. Just wondering if anyone else has had this side affect?
I have had two of these infusions. Very shivery for the rest of that day only. However I have prickly heat rash which doctors say is not connected. I had the second infusion in Nov 2018, the rash since a few days after that!
Recent DEXA scan shows I now only have Osteopenia! I do lots of exercises, hydrotherapy, a therapy gym with variable power machines, a healthy diet and lots of vitamins and minerals.
Next infusion now postponed for 18 months! Will have DEXA scan and blood tests then to decide if I need an infusion or not!
That is great! I will continue to get the infusions, but, each year my nausea lasts 3-4 months☹️
The dexa scan shows my bone density improving though!!
I live on Dramamine for those months...but,I think it is worth it as long as the bone keeps improving😃
Hi Corie, I have Aclasta which is the same family. Checked the info that came with the prescription and it does mention nausea. Your Dr can give you tablets to ease the nausea. One good thing has come out is it looks like that family of drugs may help prevent bone cancer. I only get flu like symptoms for a few days. Hope this helps. 😊
I had a Reclast infusion about a month ago with no side effect.
He called me and is arranging an appointment for a biopsy.
