What Medications Are Recommended For Osteoporosis?
My doctor put me on Fosamax and I ended up taking it for at least 10 years. I finally took myself off the drug because side effects sounded so bad. My doctor didn't agree with me.
I’ve always been told not to go off a med without asking. But I do it or have done it several times. I know I shouldn’t but it really didn’t help with my depression so why take it? As far as me I couldn’t tell that going off really bothered me. There are so many side effects on all meds ow a days. Go for it. But I’m not one to say I like to do away with a Ned if it’s not working for me. Good luck with what ever you do. God bless!!
I have been dealing with Osteoporosis since I was in my 40´s. Hoping you can find an endocrinologist or rheumatologist to help you with this disease. 10 years on Fosamax with no other follow up is a long time. Best of luck to you.
I was taking alendronate but after 3 months was experiencing muscle cramps in my calves. Switched to risendronate, same class of meds but a lower dosage. It’s just about 3 months and seem to be side effects free
None of the meds out there sound safe but what alternative do we have?
Was never oh this. Mine was a hormone and don’t remember the other. They never helped.
