Hi, I Was Diagnosed With Osteoporosis 2 Years Ago. Last Year With Graves/hyperthyroidism. Tjis Year With Thyroid Eye Disease
And last week I found I have 2 ulcers.
My question is the Omeprazole at 40mg twice per day can hurt my bones even further. Any advice?
I was offered reclast infusion 6 months ago, but at that time my eye problem was just starting.
I am scared and really not sure what to do next.

I took that Omeprazole for years for my stomach. It blocks calcium absorption. I’m sure it was one of the contributors to my Osteo. Personally I wouldn’t take it again at this point
I was on proton pump inhibitors for over 10 years. Now I have osteopenia. It just pisses me off. I wasn't aware of this side effect. Now that I know, I tell everyone, no PPIs.
