Frozen Shoulder

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone developed a frozen shoulder after being on Fosamax? I've been on Fosamax for about 4 months and developed severe shoulder and arm pain. MRI and x-rays show a bit of a labrum tear and the right shoulder joint is frozen. Can't put my hand above my head or behind my back. I will start physical therapy in June. I've been using heat, ice and muscle relaxers. There was no "event" that caused the shoulder to be frozen. It just started hurting.

What muscle relaxers did you use and did it help? Thank you. I am not on any meds but also cannot do the things you are unable to do. I also had no "event" that caused my frozen shoulder/bursitis.

I have a friend who has a frozen shoulder and she says she is always in pain. I’ve never heard of that before until recently.

It is very painful. But at least I don't need surgery, just physical therapy and steroid shots. And a lot of patience!
