I see an Endocrinologist. I was having Prolia injection every six months had no side affects. Last November I had Aclasta Infusion. I have to have another bone density test in June to see if I need another Infusion. Had no side affects.

I've been seeing a rheumatologist for years. She is wonderful. A doctor put me on Fosomax years ago. When I saw my rheumatologist she immediately took me off of it. I get prolia shots. It's really worth making an appointment with one. You'll be amazed at some of the things they will tell you. Take care.

I saw a Rheumatologist only once, after my dexa scan came back with two hip scores in the minus 5 range. I refused the forteo and prolia he wanted to start me on; and he told me there was no reason for me to come back to him.

I had two shots of Prolia and am now relaying off with Alendronate and having CTX checked every three to four months. After the relay process, which takes 12 to 24 months, I do not plan to take any more osteoporosis meds. Will continue to exercise regularly, eat healthy and take Calcium, Vitamin D, K-2/MK-7, and Magnesium Glucinate. Will also get a Dexascan every year or two.
