Has One Been Prescribed Forteo? I Have Taken It For 18 Mos & My Bone Density Is Still Osteopenia Range. I Took Fosamax For 11yrs & No Improv
WKR .. I was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis. I took the drug Evenity for 1 year. I had an injection every month There was a 23% increase in my bone density.
That might be an option for you. 🤗
Please Advise If You Have Taken Forteo And/or A New Osteoporosis Drug Called Exenity.
I would like to know how you experienced the drug I.e. side affects, tolerated well or not?

How Did You Choose Your Treatment?
I went against my endo's recommendation and choose what I thought to be the least invasive drug with the fewest side effects after I was unable to take Fosamax. I am currently taking Evista, Ca and Vit D but I am scheduled for my second bone scan. I am hoping to have made progress but my doctor is not hopeful. He wants me to choose between Forteo and Tymlos. What Are The Worst Osteoporosis T Scores You've Ever Heard Of?
When my bone scan was done, about 5 months ago and I received my report.....my T-scores we're: Spine = -5.78, Hip= -4.38 and Femur= -3.27. My Orthopedic Surgeon, my Endocrinologist and my PCP say that those are the worst scores they've seen in a patient. Just wondering.

What Is The Difference Between Type 1 Osteoporosis And Type 2 ? My Doctor Didn't Tell Me About Different Typs
I was diagnosed and sent on my way with painkillers which don't help much at all and no further information.
Same here Lynette with painkillers I only take paracetamol 🌈

Forteo was good for me. Shots in stomach worked good
