Does Anyone Take Collagen? If So What Type?
Has Anyone Tried Medicinal Marijuana For Pain Relief? I've Heard There Is One Kind That Is Very Low In THC.
I dont want to be high, I just want pain relief!
Yes, price a bit prohibitive. However have found a doctor close by who prescribes it. It immediately cleared the arthritis in my hands. Still waiting for relief for my knees and feet as it hasn't… read more
Hair And Scalp
I have found info about osteoporosis causing hair loss for some people.
My question is - does it cause you to have an itchy scalp - not dandruff. Just a very itch scalp that feels tight when you scratch.
Just checking to see if there is anyone else out there with this.
Thanks and let’s all have a great day!
Hair is more prone to breaking with the same lack of vits/minerals as causes osteoporosis ... a lot of us are finding that a "hair/skin/nails" supplement is very helpful. Can contain silica, selenium… read more

Side Affects?? Anyone With Out Side Affects From Alendronate?
I was diagnosed a year ago ( hips) and have NOT taken any medication. I went to the doctor today and of course she was not happy and gave me the push to take alendronate once a week. The side affects right on the package are alarming. Esophagus problems, bone pain, jaw bone problems, thigh bone fractures etc. When I asked her about these she said “they have to tell you all of these but they are rare”. Is there anyone who has taken this medication and NOT had any side affects???
I Recently Started Taking AlgaeCal, After Hearing Many Good Reports About It. I Would Like To Hear Others Experiences With AlgaeCal
Yes, they like to push you to meds right away - My endocrinologist said it was highly unlikely that I would be able to replace bone density and was pushing for the RX - but... I did succeed without… read more
I Have Osteopenia And The Doctor Wants Me To Start Me On Fosamax
I have Osteopenia and the doctor wants to start me on Fosamax.
Has anyone taken this and any side effects? Any improvements with this medication?
How long have you been on Fosamax?
Really thought I. Oils slow down my bone loss by supplements, vitamins, eating healthy and exercising, but my bone loss is increasing.
Do I Have To Give Up Golf?
I avoid yoga poses that bend at the waist. I modify any frontward bends by bending my knees. Somewhere I either read or heard that I should give up golfing due to the twisting involved in my swing. Thoughts on this? Anyone out there with osteoporosis in spine still golfing?
