Stooping

Is there any cure or is there anything that would lessen the stooping caused by osteoporosis?
It hurts me to try and stand up straight so I compensate by stooping lower and lower which I don't want.

You may try chair yoga. A few ladies with walkers take the class and say it helps.

Vitamin D Supplement

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭
North Yorkshire

I was prescribed vitamin D 800iu daily last year when I had my blood tested before my Prolia injection. It was 34 & deemed to be too low. I took it every day religiously. A few months later I started having palpitations which were getting really bothersome. The only thing different in my diet was the vitamin D. I had a heart tracing but doc was ok with that but my blood test came back at 83. The doc wasn't convinced the palpitations were connected to the vitamin D but I decided to cut them… read more

Do Anyone Have A History Of Falling Asleep With There TV On

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭
West Covina, CA

I have slept with my TV on all of my life and I'm wondering if that contributed to my osteoporosis. I've heard that the radiation may have something to do with it. I also have eaten a lot of oxalated foods on a daily basis, food I thought was healthy. Spinach, egg plant, brown rice, corn, ovaltine, to name a few. It was only after I was diagnosed that I found out that oxalated foods prevent calcium absorption.

A MyOsteoTeam Member

I think it may be genetic too.
