Anyone Taking Tymlos?

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭
Minneapolis, MN

I have been self injecting Tymlos daily for 19 months now and have seen improvement in my dexa scans. I am now considered to have osteopenia instead of osteoporosis. My doc says my bone density is expected to get even better for up to a year after my last dose which will be next March. I went without any dairy for years and years but have learned to drink almond milk, calcium fortified orange juice and daily calcium and vitamin D supplements. I wish I had been doing that all along. I do… read more

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭
Portchester Hampshire

I have been on Alendronic Acid for 6 years now and suffer with severe cramps in my toes, legs and hands. My doctor has taken me off various drugs to ease them but this is having now real impact. Would it be the Alendronic Acid causing them?

Are Pilates And Weight Exercise The Best?

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭
Brisbane, AU

After I went from osteopenia to osteoporosis, I started weight exercise and also reformer pilates, once a week.
Just had a bone density scan and my bone density increased by over 2 %.
I'm now back to osteopenia.

Is this combination of exercise the best,
what is your recommendation?

A MyOsteoTeam Member

Wow ! Great !

Has Anyone Heard Of AlgaeCal?

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been diagnosed for a little over 6 months. The pain is getting worse. I really do not want to take the meds the Dr. has prescribed. The side effects seem horrible. (The one the doctor recommended "Calcintonin" can cause cancer. it is a nasal spray. I'm looking for a more holistic approach. I came across an herbal supplement called AlgaeCal. I'm wondering if anyone has heard of/or tried this supplement. It is rather expensive but the testimonials are very positive. I'm wondering if it is… read more

What Kind Of Results Has Anyone Had With Taking Prolia.

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭
Tavares, FL

My doctor wants me to take Prolia injections. I have to have root canals completed and wait 3 months before I can start. I know someone who took Prolia and has lost teeth because of it. I'm concerned about that and other possible side effects.

A MyOsteoTeam Member

In my research on prolia, I found that it can increase bone density, but that bone quality is inferior.

PROLAPSE RECTUM

A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭
Columbia, TN

Morning my friends...I was DX with PROLAPSE RECTUM last week!!!!! Pain, pain....hurts to sit, stand, go to bathroom...😥😥. Doctor said my Spine has Collapsed, putting pressure on colon!! Surgery is only option, which at 72lbs, I don't feel strong enough for that..SO, guess I'll deal with MORE PAIN, along with back, hip, & Osteoporosis!!!....
Hope everyone is doing ok...
Gentle Hugs to all...Dianne 😂

A MyOsteoTeam Member

Hi Dianne,
Just wanted to check on you and see how things worked out. Did you go ahead and have the surgery?
