I have been on Fosamax 9 months. Last month I started getting a muscle pain in my leg. Then a few weeks later both knees are swollen and painful to stand

Has anyone here used the drug Tymlos? My doctor wants to prescribe it for me and I am very hesitant. It is a new drug with a long list of scary side effects and also is self injected, which is scary to me. I prefer a more holistic approach, but she seems to feel this is a better way to go. Can anyone give me some insight?

I have found info about osteoporosis causing hair loss for some people.
My question is - does it cause you to have an itchy scalp - not dandruff. Just a very itch scalp that feels tight when you scratch.
Just checking to see if there is anyone else out there with this.

Why not just exercise & a good diet?

She's been managing fairly well for the last10 yrs until recently when out of the blue she found herself in terrible debilitating pain. After an xray, reluctantly requested by GP she was found to have 'several' fractures of her lower vertebrae and compacted discs. I need input on experience with reclast infusion. My rheumatologist wants me to start it. I heard it causes hair loss amongst a myriad of other bad side effects. She is kind of steam rolling me when I voice my objections. I was just diagnosed with osteoporosis. I'll be 78 in November.

My doctor wants to put me on Reclast. I have heard nothing but horror stories from people who have had side effects. I'd appreciate any information so I can make an informed decision on whether or not to get the infusion. Thanks for your help.

I've been taking Algaecal (the non mail order one, so no strontium). And then Vitamin K in my Vitamin D. But I've been thinking of trying calcium citrate alongside Lorna Vanderhaeghe's Bone Booster. I do suffer from constipation so not sure if I can handle the calcium citrate or not.

I would like to find one formula in pill form that would increase my bone density. I have a high fracture rate regarding my hips. I walk a lot & do weight bearing exercises but need a good bone supplement that is affordable if possible.
