did you have a bone scan? if bone density better, i assume it is helping?

I would like to know about osteo treatment. I have multiple thoracic and lumbar compression fractures which have been confirmed by the MRI. I have only been taking one Vit D tablet monthly and was wondering about the HR treatment. Have had to recently give up my 45 minute walks as well. Jenny NZ

Hi everyone! I just jointed this group. Hoping to find out if anyone may have first hand experience with Zometa, "infusions" once every 6 months vs Prolia "shots" in the rump every 6 months. I had breast cancer in 1998 and again in 2020. I was referred for a Reclast treatment last year due to my Osteoporosis and will get another one this Spring. Has anyone gotten this and what if any side effects have you experienced?

Has anyone here used the drug Tymlos? My doctor wants to prescribe it for me and I am very hesitant. It is a new drug with a long list of scary side effects and also is self injected, which is scary to me. I prefer a more holistic approach, but she seems to feel this is a better way to go. Can anyone give me some insight?

I was diagnosed via a Dexascan by my GYN. She has since retired, and I would prefer someone who is trained in osteoporosis.
